Two brothers and one passion for art!

The Phidias Antiques Art Gallery with the antique dealers Antonio and Claudio Esposito of Reggio Emilia is the historical headquarters in the Palazzo Benizzi in the center, it is in this city that their activity has been expressed with professionalism over almost four decades of research, study and of intense passion. After the brilliant experience of Milan, their new challenge through which they can propose their taste for beauty, declined on the refined canons of neoclassical furniture, European painting and sculpture of the eighteenth, nineteenth and twentieth centuries. century, as well as particularly valuable examples of the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries. Vittorio Matteo Corcos (1859-1933), Antonio Ligabue (1899-1965), Federico Andreotti (1847-1930), Gaetano Bellei (1857-1922), Fabio Fabbi (1861-1946), Friederick Nerly (1807-1878), Eleuterio Pagliano (1826-1903), Vittorio Reggianini (1858-1939), Giovanni Grubacs (1802 - 1878). Phidias Antiques participates assiduously in several important antiques exhibitions, such as the Internazionale di Milano, the Gotha in Parma and Modenantiquaria, also promoting, over the years, particularly significant events, including the one on orientalist painting of the nineteenth century, on French candlesticks from the period of the Revolution and on 19th century sculpture.

«For us, the Gallery wants to be an open window on the world, where we were born professionally in 1976, and as was the gallery in Milan, a profitable and brilliant experience that we have been pursuing for about ten years. A window on the world means an opportunity to make different experiences known, but it also means an important opportunity to open up to the changes of our age, this path which therefore proposes, as a priority objective, that of never giving up to indulge the most refined tastes and promote an aesthetic culture that has always permeated the artistic and cultural history of our country.

Discovering new treasures and valuable testimonies that that history still holds, proposing them and sharing them with our customers, loyal or potential, is the essence of our professional adventure ".

This commitment is also expressed through careful advice that is provided to customers in the choice of objects and in the enhancement of spaces and interiors. Some of the most important trade magazines have repeatedly illustrated our work, promoting the image of the Gallery to a vast and competent audience.
